Intensive Outpatient Program

The Intensive Outpatient Program provides an alternative to individuals who do not require inpatient or residential treatment, thus allowing these individuals to maintain their daily activities while receiving necessary treatment. The complete Intensive Outpatient Program consists of 12 therapy groups per week and adjunct treatments designed to address issues specific to individuals with eating disorders. Groups take place from Monday through Thursday 4:00pm to 8:00pm.

• Expressive/Experiential Therapies
• Multimodality Group Therapy
• Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

Following a comprehensive initial assessment, an individualized treatment plan will be developed. The New Orleans Center for Eating Disorders' intensive outpatient program provides the most powerful, yet least restrictive treatment possible. The effectiveness of the program is greatly enhanced by the comprehensive and specialized approach, which enables simultaneous treatment of multiple aspects of the eating disorder.
